Certified high security with limited foundation depth – available as a fixed or automatically retractable bollard
The M30 bollard is a certified high-security bollard with verified protective performance in accordance with PAS 68 and IWA 14-1. Testing confirms its defined vehicle restraint under standardized impact conditions.
It was specifically developed for sites where high security requirements must be combined with limited installation space. Thanks to its compact foundation requirements, the M30 is particularly suitable for urban environments, government facilities, and critical infrastructure.
Available as a fixed or automatically retractable variant, it combines standards-tested protective performance with controlled vehicle access management.
The M30 bollard is deployed where vehicle restraint tested in accordance with PAS 68 and IWA 14-1 is required, but large-scale foundations are not feasible. It provides a technically balanced solution for urban environments where security must be implemented discreetly and with structural efficiency.
In its fixed version, it provides permanent protection without vehicle passage. In the automatically retractable variant, it allows authorized vehicles controlled access while maintaining the same certified level of protection.
The M30 represents a balanced combination of protection performance, optimized installation space, and operational flexibility.

The retractable M30 Bollard is crash-tested and certified according to PAS 68 and IWA 14-1.
The fixed version complies with an M30/P1 impact simulation in a triple bollard configuration. Both variants provide reliable protection for urban and security-relevant environments. For higher threat levels, the PeriGuard M50 Bollard is available.
The fixed variant is recommended for areas that require permanent protection and do not need regular vehicle access.
The automatically retractable variant is suitable where authorized vehicles require controlled access, for example for deliveries, emergency vehicles, or internal operational traffic. Both variants are based on the same tested protective structure.
The fixed version is particularly compact, requiring only approx. 400 mm foundation depth, making it ideally suited for city centers or locations with underground utilities.
The automatic version requires a deeper installation due to its retractable design and hydraulic system. Upon request, we assess which option is best suited to your site – our service experts are available to support you.
The automatic retractable version operates electrohydraulically and integrates seamlessly into access control systems such as traffic lights, induction loops, card readers, or control panels.
The automatic bollard typically remains in the raised position. Manual lowering is possible, and optional backup systems can support continued operation.
Optional features include stainless steel cladding, LED head lighting, heating systems, and Emergency Fast Operation (EFO) for rapid deployment.
