Maximum protection performance for high-risk sites – available as a fixed or automatically retractable bollard
The M50 bollard is a high-security bollard with verified protective performance in accordance with PAS 68, IWA 14-1, and ASTM F2656-07. These certifications confirm its resistance under high-energy impact conditions involving heavy vehicle classes.
It is designed for sites with the highest threat levels and delivers maximum energy absorption under defined test parameters. The M50 is available as a fixed version for permanent protection and as an automatically retractable variant for controlled high-security access points.
The M50 bollard is deployed where the highest requirements for physical vehicle restraint are specified. Its protective performance has been verified through testing in accordance with PAS 68, IWA 14-1, and ASTM F2656-07.
It is suitable for critical infrastructure, government facilities, military sites, or locations with elevated threat scenarios. In its fixed version, it provides uncompromising, permanent protection. In the automatically retractable configuration, it enables controlled vehicle access while maintaining maximum certified protective performance.
Due to its high energy absorption capacity, the M50 requires a properly dimensioned foundation.

Find the right protection for your needs.
The M50 has been crash-tested in accordance with PAS 68, IWA 14-1, and ASTM F2656-07 and withstands the impact of a 7.5-ton vehicle at 80 km/h. These tests confirm its protective performance against heavy vehicles under high-energy impact conditions.
The fixed variant provides permanent protection. The automatically retractable version enables controlled vehicle access while maintaining the same level of protective performance verified in accordance with international standards.
The fixed version is particularly compact as a shallow-mount solution. The automatically retractable variant requires greater installation depth to accommodate the drive and guidance unit. Our PeriGuard service experts will be pleased to advise you on which solution is best suited to your site.
The M50 bollard is electrohydraulically operated and can be integrated into traffic lights, induction loops, access control systems, or intercom solutions. This ensures both convenient and secure operation. In the event of a power failure, the bollard typically remains in the raised position. Optional emergency lowering functions or battery backup systems are available.
The system remains in its defined security status. Emergency power supply or manual override solutions can be implemented on a project-specific basis.
Optional features include an EFO function, LED signaling, stainless steel cladding, heating systems, and integration solutions for complex security architectures.
